Year after year and player after player the D1 Nation and it's alumni continue to assault the NCAA and it's various team's record books. The latest trio to make their mark are Minnesota Gopher Senior Jordan Murphy (San Antonio, TX), Middle Tennessee Blue Raider Junior Antonio Green (Tupelo, MS) and Oregon State Junior Tres Tinkle (Missoula, MT).
Murphy, the NCAA leader in double doubles over the last two seasons combined has now moved to #1 overall in Minnesota history in the rebounding department (passing up NBA legends Mychal Thompson and Kevin McHale) and #2 overall in the Big 10 behind only "The Logo", Jerry West, passing up Draymond Green and Joe Barry Carroll among others.
Oregon State Junior Tres Tinkle has hit the 1500 point mark with a number of games left in his Junior campaign. His play has the Beavers in the thick of things in the PAC 12 race. He's also a threat every night to approach 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Middle Tennessee Junior Antonio Green has the unique distinction of setting season marks for three pointers made in two different programs. As a freshman at Texas-Rio Grande Valley he set the program mark for triples made in a season. In a tragic turn, his brother was shot and killed in Memphis. Antonio re-evaluated being closer to his family, including his baby girl in Tupelo, MS and transferred to Middle Tennessee. He's already set the mark for the Blue Raiders and will likely hit the 100 plus mark for made threes before the year's out.
