"A special thanks to my man, Chad Groth of Area Codes Scouting Service for taking the time to take a glance at the D1 Nation's finest 2019 Class from New Mexico. There are several legitimate Division One players on the roster, which is size driven.

New Mexic Director Malik Waters has done an excellent job of putting together a roster which will make the New Mexico D Ambassadors competitive on the Adidas Gauntlet this 2018 season."-Coach Max Ivany

Pictured below is 2018 unsigned senior Michael Ou. Ou is a Chinese National who has seen his game grow by leaps and bounds in his two short years in the USA. He's become accustomed to the culture, has really improved his grasp of English and also is adapting nicely to the American game of basketball.

He's got solid academics, is a wonderful coachable young man and he has adequate D1 athleticism. His skill set is rounding into shape as well, showing an ability to run the floor, face up and also passes well for a big man. This youngster is closing in on 6'10" and should not be overlooked by a D1 looking for a late signee.  If Ou decides to prep this coming fall he'll be on all but the elite's radar next spring.

New Mexico D1 Ambassadors Impressive In Arizona

By Chad Groth

Phoenix, AZ – The New Mexico D1 Ambassadors took a trip to Arizona to kick off their season athe end of March. They played in Ron Coleman's Southwest Showcase “Main Event” basketball tournament held in Phoenix.

What a great showing from all five teams that the D1 Nation's New Mexico Director, Malik Waters has put together. I wasn’t able to catch all their games with over 100 teams in the event, but with that saying below are some names that stood-out.

There are plenty of players with future college promise, and soon enough this spring Division One college coaches will have a few of these guys on the radar.

In ascending height order are some "watch-prospects". This is a short because I had to head off to San Antonio to meet with hundreds of college coaches during the Final Four this past weekend in the Alamo City.
