The Texas All Star showcase is bar none the most talent packed event youth football event of the year. The format: Cities from every region in Texas collect the best talent from their communities to put forth the best tre all star teams in each division. These range from 7U-12U. Dallas,Forth Worth, Houston, Central Texas, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, Coastal Bend,  Austin and even some teams from Louisiana all come together in Round Rock, Texas to battle it out. On this given weekend we will find out which City is truly King of Kings within the mighty football state of Texas.

It will be 2 days of action packed competition that the D1 Nation's National Director of Football, Brandon Hernandez will be in the house to cover. We will highlight standout teams and players while evaluating the special talent in the process. Athletes that perform above and beyond on an all star level will receive free exposure courtesy of D1 Nation, which has over 5,000,000 views and is highly respected in the recruiting world.

Good luck and safe travels to all teams and families who have put in the time and effort to make this event as star studded as it is.  Let's ball out!

9u Dallas

Size, speed, power, and aggression. This 9U Dallas squad has it all and they're loaded at every position. Perhaps the most dominant component of their complete team are the big boys up front! Offensively and defensively they win the trenches consistently and impose their will in the running game. The team also has a stable full of ball carriers with wiggle, speed, and vision to run behind the "Great Wall" They are definitely stacked, even by "all star" standards.

The standout player of the game versus Central Texas in pool play is #10  Keylon Rush for Team Dallas in their opener on Saturday. Playing linebacker on defense, he made plays from side line to sideline and was an anchor in the middle stuffing the run. Offensively he was the feature back in a stable of running backs and ran downhill with power and speed, even touching paydirt in the big win!

8U South Houston

This South Houston team is deep. They're full of speed at the skill positions and equipped with a stout defense that plays with an aggressive edge. This team is worthy of representing the talent filled city of Houston in the all star showcase. In their first game against the Austin Region they held team Austin to no first downs and no points in the first 2 quarters.

The defense continued to shine and recovered a fumble to open the 2nd half. South Houston wins their first game in pool play with championship level defense 6-0.
Our player to watch was #17, quarterback Landon Callis. He brought speed, leadership, desire, and MORE speed. While he didn't throw in the first game he did lead the team in rushing and have a handful of speedy and powerful runs to set the pace for their rushing attack and set the tone for the attitude for his team. He had the games only score on a bootleg, the go to play for this speedster.

The North Side of Houston is well represented in the 11u division. There's a ton of speed at the skill positions and size in the line.  Any given ball carrier can take it the distance and the offensive and defensive lines looks big for the 12u division. In their first game of pool play they faced a talented Lousiana team and came out with the victory due to absolute domination in the trenches.

Multiple sacks, multiple tackles for loss and constant pressure on the quarterback by the North Houston squad created a physical and hard hitting environment that fueled their roaring crowd. This team may have the most dominant D Line in the showcase!

12U Dallas

This may be the most star filled group of the showcase. The backfield has one of the top three quarterbacks in the State, and the running back by committee contains three of the top five backs in the state as well! Equipped with a huge and experienced offensive line they coasted through their first pool game, registering a blowout.

Although Dallas-Fort Worth has broken up into two regions for this years event, that has proved to be a small obstacle in regards to obtaining deeply talented squads out of the Metroplex.

San Antonio always seems like the "little brother " to the talent filled mega cities of Houston and Dallas but the showcase may put that notion up for further discussion. Led by featured D1 Nation athlete Carson Green of the San Antonio Outlaws, this team comes with a ton of experience and tenacity on defense.

The hard nosed mentality and tackling ability got them through their first pool game against a huge Fort Worth team. Look for San Antonio to play with a chip on their shoulder to earn respect at this tournament.
