The Colorado Chaos D1 Ambassadors Basketball Club is proud to announce that 2016 SG 6'2" Michael Ranson (Pueblo, CO/Pueblo Central) has committed to play at the University of Northern Colorado.
Ranson committed to Northern Colorado after recently visiting and receiving an offer from head coach B.J. Hill and the Bears staff. He becomes the first commitment for the Bears in the Class of 2016 and will join fellow Colorado Chaos D1 alumni Cameron Michael and Jon’te Dotson when he arrives on campus next year.
As a junior this past season, Ranson was the leading scorer in Colorado, regardless of class, averaging 25.6 points per game for a very good 19 win team that was ranked in the top ten consistently throughout the season. As a sophomore Ranson averaged 18.3 points per game and chipped in 15.0 points per game as a freshmen. Ranson has scored 1,252 points so far in his high school career and is on pace to finish as one of the all time leading scorers in Colorado high school history with a big senior season. His Wildcats are also expected to be a state title contender this upcoming season. In addition to Ranson’s exploits on the hardwood, he is also an outstanding quarterback and was receiving significant recruiting interest there as well.
Ranson plays his club basketball for the Colorado Chaos D1 Ambassadors Basketball Club where he has helped lead the 17’s Elite team to an outstanding spring and will be looking forward to a big month of July.
