Arkansas-Little Rock sophomore PG Josh Hagins (Bossier City, LA/Airline) had 18 points/5 rebounds/8 assists/4 blocks as the Trojans rolled to victory over Southern Arkansas.
Baylor senior post Cory Jefferson (Killeen, TX) had 10 points/4 rebounds/3 blocks including the buzzer beating put back for the 67-66 win over the Dayton Flyers. Junior G Royce O’Neale (Killeen, TX/Harker Heights) added 13 points and 3 steals in the win.
(At left: Jaleel Williams) Colorado State transfer Junior J.J. Avila proved to be just what the doctor ordered for the Rams as their revamped roster required someone to step up on their frontline and score. Avila had 21 points/4 rebounds in a thumping of Bethune-Cookman.

Baylor senior post Cory Jefferson’s 15 points/8 rebounds weren’t enough for Baylor as they dropped their first game of the season to Syracuse. San Diego State sophomore forward Winston Sheperd (Las Vegas, NV/Findlay Prep) had 15 points/2 rebounds in a win over College of Charleston. Northwestern’s redshirt sophomore G Tre Demps (San Antonio, TX/Reagan) had 11 points in their loss to Missouri. For Missouri, redshirt junior G Jordan Clarkson had 21 points/4 rebounds/2 assists.
Arkansas-Little Rock sophomore PG Josh Hagins (Bossier City, LA/Airline) had 12 points/3 rebounds /3 assists in a loss to the Oklahoma Sooners. True freshman PG T.J. Williams (Pflugerville, TX) had 12 points/4 assists for Northeastern in their loss to VCU. Abilene Christian junior PG LaDarrien Williams (Manor, TX) only had 5 points, but the 6 footer added 8 rebounds and 8 assists.
Junior G Jordan Clarkson (Converse, TX/Wagner) had 21 points/4 rebounds/4 assists vs the Nevada Wolfpack as the Tigers ran their record to 7-0. Rice’s junior forward Seth Gearhart (Wilsonville, OR) had a career high 20 points/4 rebounds in the Owls win over Rider. San Diego State sophomore forward Winston Sheperd (Las Vegas, NV/Findlay Prep) had 16 points/10 rebounds in a big win over Creighton.

On the other side of the ball UCLA ran their record to 7-0 for the first time EVER. The coach’s son, true freshman G Bryce Alford had a season high 18 points/2 assists/2 steals for the Bruins.
