D1 Nation Alumni Report: November 18-21, 2013

(At left: Javan Felix) Starting on Monday evening the D1 Nation alums began tearing up the college ranks as the Texas Longhorns thumped Houston Baptist behind two of D1's finest in Soph PG Javan Felix (New Orleans, LA/St. Augustine) with 14 points in only 17 minutes of play and soph forward Connor Lammert (San Antonio, TX/Churchill) who had 13 points/9 rebounds/3 blocks. The Colorado Buffs also got big games from Colorado D1 alum Sophomore forward 6'10" Josh Scott (Monument, CO/Lewis-Palmer) who had 20 points/5 rebounds and true freshman George King (San Antonio, TX/Brennan) who had 11 points/4 rebounds in only 15 minutes of play.  Senior Hyjii Thomas (Houston, TX/Booker T Washington) was the lone bright spot as D1 Texas-San Antonio reamined winless at the hands of Murray State. Thomas had 23 points/7 rebounds. Senior G Cody Doolin (Austin, TX/Westlake) followed up his 33 point performance with 13 points/6 assists vs Idaho State. True freshman G Bryce Alford had 7 points/5 assists/3 steals for the UCLA Bruins in their rout of Sacramento State.

It's not taking any time at all for Vanderbilt's redshirt sophomore guard Eric McClellan (Austin, TX/Austin) to make his presence felt in the SEC as he had 29 points/6 rebounds/3 assists against the Butler Bulldogs. The Hartford Hawks may have been overmatched when they went to Louisville and got spanked but someone forgot to tell Hartford junior F Mark Nwakamma (Leander, TX) as he had 16 points/6 rebounds on 7-15 shooting. Sophomore G Dylan Cox (Cedar Park, TX) had 14 points to lead Army vs Delaware. In their highly anticipated game vs Memphis, Oklahoma State Junior G Brian Williams (Baton Rouge, LA/Glen Oaks) was declared the best athlete on the floor by ESPN's Jay Bilas as he had 15 points/8 rebounds in the Cowboys win. Abilene Christian is taking it's lumps in their first year of D1 competition but Sophomore F Austin Cooke (Scottsdale, AZ/Desert Mountain) is more than holding his own with 12 points/7 rebounds and his other D1 alum team mate Junior G LaDarrien Williams (manor, TX) who added 10 points in their loss to Texas Christian. Sophomore G Devon Turk (Houston, TX/Westbury Christian) had 11 points for Loyola (IL) in his first double digit scoring effort of the season. Senior wing Shavon "Sugar" Coleman (Thibodeaux, LA) had 14 points/6 rebounds in only 19 minutes for Louisiana State in their win over in state rival New Orleans.

(At left) Sophomore G Alex Caruso (College Station, TX/Consolidated) continues to lead the Texas A&M Aggies as a stats stuffer.  He had 15 points/2 rebounds/4 assists/6 steals and 2 blocks in a monster performance vs Prairie View A&M. Colorado State junior forward J.J. Avila (McAllen, TX) had 19 points/7 rebounds to lead the Rams in their game against UTEP. Junior Post Trevante Drye (Baton Rouge, LA/Glen Oaks) had the double double with a nifty 10 point/10 board performance for Tulane.  Senior post Cory Jefferson led the Baylor Bears with 16 points/11 rebouns/3 blocks vs Charleston Southern. Redshirt sophomore G Tre Demps (San Antonio, TX/Reagan) had 13 points/3 rebounds for Northwestern in their win over Illinois-Chicago. Junior G Max Yon, Demps high school team mate had a great night for Air Force as he had 13 points/5 rebounds/7 steals for the Falcons. Junior wing Jaleel Williams (Killeen, TX/Ellison) had 22 points/8 rebounds for San Jose State in their win over Pepperdine. San Diego State soph Winston Sheperd (Las Vegas, NV/Findlay Prep) had 10 points/3 rebounds for the Aztecs

(At left) Northeastern scored the big upset over Georgetown yesterday and true freshman PG T J Williams (Pflugerville, TX) logged 31 minutes, scored 10 points, including the game clinching steal and subsequent lay up for the Huskies. Junior post Alex Kirk (Los Alamos, NM) had 16 points/11 rebounds/5 blocks as the New Mexico Lobos escaped with an OT win over Alabama-Birmingham. Houston Cougars Junior forward Ta'Shawn Thomas (Killeen, TX) continues putting up eye catching numbers with 11 points/18 rebounds/7 blocks vs Howard University.
