Panhandle girls basketball is a tough out, year in and year out. They've got a long, skilled roster and are well coached in the fundamentals. Clarendon was overmatched against one of the better teams in the area, falling 66-33.
Clarendon was able to hang close for the first quarter, in fact leading 6-4. They were able to limit Panhandle's ability to score in transition. By halftime, Panhandle was comfortably in front 22-11. At the end of the 3rd it was 43-16 and the rout was on.
Senior Jade Benson was the only consistent offensive threat for the Lady Broncos as she finished with 18 points. Jentrye Bellar and Ashlyn Crawford also added 5 points a piece.
