D1 Nation Alumni Report: March 3-6, 2020

03/07/2020, 3:30pm CST
By Max Ivany

Some 8 years ago, then Montana Grizzlies Head Coach came to me and asked if I'd start a D1 Nation team in Montana for his son, Tres Tinkle and some other talented kids in Big Sky Country.

Fast forward to last night and Coach Tinkle, now the Head Coach at Oregon State got to see his son set the Oregon State scoring record for the Oregon State Beavers.  He surpassed none other than NBA Hall of Famer, Gary "The Glove" Payton.  It was an honor to have Tres reach this achievement as one of our former alumni and count Coach Tinkle as a friend and one of the finest people I know in college basketball.
