Crane, TX

On Friday, Brandon Cerna’s performance helped guide his Crane Golden Cranes team to an 80-6, season opening victory at El Ave Stadium in Crane. Cerna, last year’s District 1-3A MVP, picked up where he left off a season ago as he scored 5 TD’s in the win. He scored three times on special team, twice on punt returns of 52 and 75 yards, and another on an 87 yard kickoff return. Cerna also caught two passes for touchdowns on 1-yard and 7-yard receptions. He finished with 242 total yards in the game.

Crane Head Coach Jeff Cordell stated, “Brandon’s performance is extraordinary, but he will be the first to admit this could not have been accomplished without his teammates. He was recently selected as a captain for the 2019 football team by his teammates. He will be the first to say these accomplishments were only made possibly because of great effort from his teammates.”
