Stephon Xavier Johnson, also know as “Boogie”, is a 7th grader (5'6 110lbs.) attending Friendswood Middle School in Friendswood, TX. He currently plays for his middle school and club ball with the North Houston Gators 12u division. Boogie is a promising athlete in three different sports; football, track & field, and basketball.

He is a die hard football fan and would play every day if allowed to, he also follows high school and collegiate football as well as NFL players regularly. He is also a role model at school among his classmates for his involvement in non-bullying and bring a mentor to the younger children at school. The football field is his playground and he can make you pay with his favorite jump step and precise cuts! He also has the speed to turn the corner and get up field quickly.

Johnson is a student of the game and is fully aware of the dedication it takes to be a student athlete. He is willing to do what it takes to achieve success in both areas. Although this year has had some setbacks with a couple of ankle injuries he was still able to help his team make it to the semi-finals in the Snoop Youth Football League and his middle school to the District Championships.

Boogie has played a variety of positions and needs to continue to get stronger and faster while deepening his football IQ. He gets frustrated at times when he "messes up" because he's such a competitor and hates to fail at anything. He is beginning to understand that it is important to keep it all in perspective. I believe the sky is the limit for him as long as he keeps working towards what he wants! He just may become a household name!!!
